President Bhandari visits Muktinath Temple

KATHMANDU, Oct 30: President Bidya Devi Bhandari offered prayers at the Muktinath Temple this morning. On the occasion, the President received tika from Krishna Prasad Subedi and Anni Carpo, priests of the temple.

KATHMANDU, Oct 30: President Bidya Devi Bhandari offered prayers at the Muktinath Temple this morning. On the occasion, the President received tika from Krishna Prasad Subedi and Anni Carpo, priests of the temple.


According to the Office of the President, she reached Muktinath from Kathmandu today by a Nepal Army helicopter.

President Bhandari was welcomed by priests and office-bearers of Muktinath Temple, MP Prem Prasad Tulachan, CPN (UML) leader Shrimaya Thakali, Provincial Assembly members, Mustang Chief District Officer Netra Prasad Sharma, various people's representatives and local residents.


Religious tourism-related activities and pilgrimages have not been possible in Nepal for a long time due to the COVID-19 pandemic. According to the President's Office, President Bhandari visited the famous Muktinath Temple in Mustang district today to convey the message that Nepal's tourism and pilgrimage is safe and to promote Nepal's well-known religious tourist destination.
