President Paudel appoints new provincial chiefs in Bagmati, Lumbini and Karnali provinces

KATHMANDU, July 31: President Ram Chandra Paudel  has appointed new provincial chiefs in three provinces upon the recommendation of the Council of Ministers.

KATHMANDU, July 31: President Ram Chandra Paudel  has appointed new provincial chiefs in three provinces upon the recommendation of the Council of Ministers.

President Paudel has appointed Deepak Prakash Devkota in Bagmati Province, Krishna Bahadur Gharti Magar in Lumbini Province and Yagya Raj Joshi in Karnali Province as provincial chiefs on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers, according to Shailaja Regmi Bhattarai, spokesperson  for the President's Office.


A statement issued by the President’s Office states that President Paudel appointed the provincial chiefs in accordance with subsection (2) of Article 163 of the Constitution of Nepal in accordance with the decision and recommendation made by the Council of Ministers on July 29.
