President Poudel appeals for rescue and relief of earthquake survivors

KATHMANDU, Nov 4: President Ram Chandra Paudel has expressed sadness over the loss of human lives and property in the earthquake that took place in Jajarkot and Rukum West last night.

KATHMANDU, Nov 4: President Ram Chandra Paudel has expressed sadness over the loss of human lives and property in the earthquake that took place in Jajarkot and Rukum West last night.


 According to the Office of the President, he has appealed to the government and all concerned to ensure effective rescue and relief work in the quake-affected areas.

An earthquake of magnitude 6.4 occurred on Friday night with its epicenter at Ramidanda in Barekot Rural Municipality-1 of Jajarkot.


Similarly, President of Nepali Congress and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has expressed sadness over the report of massive loss of life and property in Jajarkot and Rukum West due to the earthquake last night.


In his social media account, leader Deuba has requested the government to immediately send rescue teams to the affected areas and provide medical treatment facilities to the injured, and humanitarian aid to the needy.


At this difficult hour, the NC President has instructed all the party members to join in search, rescue and relief in the earthquake affected areas.
