KATHMANDU, April 20: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has sent a message of condolences to Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom on the passing of His Royal Highness Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh.
President Bhandari in her condolence message stated that Nepal lost a longstanding friend with the demise of Prince Philip, according to a press statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli also sent a separate message of condolence to his British counterpart Boris Johnson. He expressed condolence on the demise of His Royal Highness Prince Philip.
PM Oli stated that the contributions of Prince Philip to the cause of humanity will be remembered by the future generations.
