Private hospital in Biratnagar offers free of cost treatment to COVID-19 patients

BIRATNAGAR, Sept 10: A private hospital in Morang district has begun providing treatment to COVID-19 patients for free.


The Neuro Cardio and Multi-Specialty Hospital (NCMSH) in Biratnagar is the first private COVID hospital in Province 1 offering free of cost treatment to people who are tested positive for this virus.

According to the Operational Director at the NCMSH Dr Rajesh Bhattarai, the hospital began providing treatment to COVID-19 after receiving permission from the Ministry of Social Development of the Province 1 government.


The hospital has made arrangements for sports, television room and ventilators to the needy patients infected with the COVID-19. Biratnagar has become a COVID-19 hotspot in the Province in recent days with a sudden spike in the number of people testing positive for the virus.


A total of 11 COVID-19 patients are currently undergoing treatment at the hospital.
