Quake-affected 223,830 families reach grant agreement so far

KATHMANDU, July 7: The National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) has reached an agreement with the total 223,830 families till Wednesday to provide the grant amount of Rs 200,000 each family to reconstruct their houses damaged by the earthquake on April 25, 2015.

KATHMANDU, July 7: The National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) has reached an agreement with the total 223,830 families till Wednesday to provide the grant amount of Rs 200,000 each family to reconstruct their houses damaged by the earthquake on April 25, 2015. 



Of the total families with whom the grant agreement reached, the first installment of Rs 50,000 has already been released each to 24,428 families so far, said spokesperson for the NRA Ram Prasad Thapaliya. 



The released amounts were deposited in bank accounts of the beneficiaries. 



A total of 533,454 quake-affected families from quake-hit districts like Sindhupalchok, Dolakha, Ramechhap, Okhaldhunga, Sindhuli, Kavrepalanchok, Makawanpur, Gorkha, Dhading, Rasuwa and Nuwakot are enlisted for receiving the grant amounts, he said, adding that the process was on to provide the first installment of the amount.
