CPN-UML seizes top posts in Province 3

KATHMANDU, Feb 11: CPN-UML leader Radhika Tamang has been elected unopposed as the deputy-speaker of the Province-3. No one filed the nomination against Tamang.


Nepali Congress provincial parliamentary party leader Indra Bahadur Baniya informed that no one could file the nomination from his party.

Tamang had won from the Nuakot-1 ‘A’ during provincial election. CPN-UML provincial parliamentary party leader Dormani Paudel had proposed his name while CPN (Maoist Center) lawmaker Kumari Moktan had seconded the proposal.


Without any opponent, CPN-UML leader Sanu Shrestha was elected the Province's speaker last Saturday.  


UML leader Dormani Paudel was elected as PP leader of the party and is likely to become the Chief Minister of Province 3. The UML has all three key positions in its bag.
