KATHMANDU, March 24: Veteran Radio journalist Krishna Tamrakar passed away. The 86-year-old, Tamrakar, who was being treated at Annapurna Neuro Hospital for a few days after experiencing health complications, died at 10 pm on Thursday.
She was hospitalized after developing pneumonia. She worked for a long time in Radio Nepal as a news anchor. She has worked in Radio Nepal since 2018 BS. She used to read news in Hindi and later in Nepali language.
UML Chair Oli condoles demise of Tamrakar

Tamrakar worked in radio for almost 60 years. But she retired from Radio Nepal in 2049 BS. Even then she was active in communication.
CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has said that he was very saddened by the news of Tamrakar's death. “An unforgettable voice in the history of Nepali radio - Krishna Tamrakar. An opportunity arose to honor her a few days ago. I am deeply saddened by the news of her death. Heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family," Oli said.
