Veteran artist Ragini Upadhyay Grela's 64th solo exhibition which began in Gallery 6, Islamabad, Pakistan on December 18, concluded today.
Pramila’s 'Moments of life' on virtual display
This is Ragini's first ever online exhibition where 25 of her artworks were featured, in which some of the works were original while few were digital prints.
In the exhibition, her artworks created in different time intervals of her life depicted her interpretation of contemporary society along with her self expressions.
She is one of the leading Nepali artists who has been active since 1979, who graduated in Fine Arts from Lucknow University in 1982 and who has also studied in Germany and the UK.
In the exhibition, she has highlighted serious socio-political issues and happenings in the world along with her personal life. Moreover, two of her recent works from 'Corona Times' series depict the changed behavior of lovers in current situations.
Then 'Ashes' series done in 2017 explores her desire to reconnect with Shivata, her teenage daughter, who died untimely. Lastly, part of her income will go to 'Shivata Love Foundation' which she has established to support children and women of Nepal.
