KATHMANDU, Dec 4: The weather is changing along with rainfall and snowfall in different parts of the country as a result of the partial effects of low pressure and westerly winds.
According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, there has been sporadic to light rain in one or two places in the hilly areas of Gandaki and Karnali provinces including Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces since this morning.
'Excessive cold to remain for one more day'
Similarly, the MFD has reported that there is sporadic to light snowfall in one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous regions of the Sudurpaschim Province and Karnali Province.
The MFD has said that the weather will be generally clear in the hilly areas of Koshi province including Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces this afternoon. Similarly, there is a possibility of light rain in one or two places in the hilly areas of Gandaki and Karnali Provinces including Lumbini Province, while there is a possibility of light snowfall in one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Gandaki and Karnali Province
According to the MFD, the weather will be generally cloudy in the hilly areas of Karnali province including Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and the remaining areas will be partly cloudy.
Similarly, there is a possibility of light rain in one or two places in the mountainous areas of the country, while there is a possibility of light snowfall in one or two places in the mountainous areas of the country.
The MFD has urged all to take necessary precautions as there is light rain and snow in a few places in the hilly areas of the country and the temperature is dropping significantly all over the country.
