KATHMANDU, Oct 22: At least 111 people have lost their lives in the recent incidents of floods, landslides and inundation.
According to the Nepal Police Headquarters, as many as 37 people are still missing in the incidents of flood and landslides in different parts of the country as of Friday evening.

Among those killed in the disaster are 65 in Province 1, one in Bagmati Province, two in Gandaki Province, four in Lumbini Province, seven in Karnali Province and 32 in Sudurpaschim Province. A total of 42 people are injured across the country.
Among those missing are 11 in Province 1, one each in Lumbini and Karnali Province and 23 in Sudurpaschim Province. Search for the missing is underway.
As many as 2,232 houses were submerged in floods while the disastrous incidents have caused loss and damage to 78 houses, 16 sheds, six bridges, one school and three government offices. A total of 186 livestock were killed in the rain-triggered disaster, according to the Home Ministry.
During the period, 1,188 households were displaced. Police informed that efforts are underway to relocate people vulnerable to natural disasters to safer locations, rescue those entrapped in disaster and provide relief to those affected by the disasters.
