KATHMANDU, Sept 25: Rainfall is likely at some places in Koshi, Gandaki and Bagmati provinces today. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM), the current monsoon's low-pressure area is positioned around the western part of the Terai region, near the Nepal-India border, and is located higher than the eastern part of the Terai region. Furthermore, the low-pressure area in the vicinity of southeastern Uttar Pradesh, India, is also having an impact on the weather of Nepal.
According to the DHM, there has been light rain at a few places of Gandaki Province and a couple of places in the rest of the provinces.
Heavy rainfall likely in some provinces today
DHM officials have said that there will be partial to general rainfall across the country this afternoon. It is also said that there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning at a few places in Koshi, Gandaki and Bagmati provinces and a couple of places in the remaining provinces.
