Ranveer Singh donned the uniform to essay a fun cop in Rohit Shetty directed ‘Simmba’. His performance was loved by fans and seems like a second part is in the pipeline. Speaking to a news portal, Ranveer stated that Simmba was always intended to be a franchise and he is always ready to play his favorite character again for the sequel. ‘Simmba’ was released in 2018 and starred Sara Ali Khan opposite Ranveer. Last year Ranveer reprised his role of Simmba for a cameo in Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Sooryavanshi’.

Before ‘Simmba 2’ happens, Ranveer and Rohit Shetty have collaborated for another entertainer. The hit actor-director duo is working on ‘Cirkus’, which is touted to be a comedy of errors. The film features Pooja Hegde as the leading lady opposite Ranveer. Apart from this, Ranveer Singh will also be seen in Karan Johar’s directorial ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’, romancing Alia Bhatt. This light-hearted, quickly love story also stars Jaya Bachchan, Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi in pivotal roles.


Ranveer Singh had also exclusively confirmed to ETimes that he has five biopics in the pipeline. When we asked him if one of the three is that of a paraplegic swimmer, he replied, "I guess we should rather wait and give this time, those 5 biopics are all in different stages of development and hopefully one of them will develop into an extraordinary script and you will hear an official announcement soon.”
