KATHMANDU, Feb 13: CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the “reactionary forces” are trying to topple the coalition government.

Speaking at a program organized on the occasion of the 27th ‘People’s War Day’ at the party’s central office on Sunday, Dahal claimed that different kinds of ploys were being hatched to break the ruling coalition and confuse the election process. Stating that the ruling alliance is based on some ideological and political beliefs, Dahal said that the ruling alliance should move ahead with the same beliefs.

Adding that the coalition was formed to protect and preserve the constitution, the democratic republic and the nation, he clarified that the alliance was not formed to decide whether to approve a project (referring to the US-funded MCC Compact agreement).

Similarly, Dahal shared that it is necessary to celebrate the ‘People’s War Day‘ by the central and provincial governments. He expressed his belief that the ‘People’s War Day’ would be celebrated by other provinces as well as the federal government in the upcoming days.
