Rescue of a youth after six years in chain

A young man who was chained for six years in Udayaur has been rescued. 21-year-old Ram Bahadur Pariyar of Lalpatta, Triyuga Municipality-6, who lost his mental balance, was rescued.

UDAYAPUR, March 19:A young man who was chained for six years in Udayaur has been rescued. 21-year-old Ram Bahadur Pariyar of Lalpatta, Triyuga Municipality-6, who lost his mental balance, was rescued.

Maheshwari Rai, deputy head of the municipality, informed that he was rescued on the initiative of Triyuga Municipality. Ram Bahadur was rescued from his sister Hastamaya's house in Lalpatta and sent to Manav Seva Ashram in Hetauda. According to Triyuga-6 Ward President Yogendra Dahal, the municipality will bear all the costs of Ram Bahadur's treatment.


Ram Bahadur had lost his mental balance since 2074. His father died in 2075. After that, Ram Bahadur was kept chained in Didi Hastamaya's house, Ward President Dahal said.
