RPP's provincial assembly candidate Gyanujang Lama elected from Chitwan 3 A

CHITWAN, Nov 24: Gir Bahadur (Gyanujang) Tamang of Rastriya Prajatantra Party has been elected as provincial assembly member from Chitwan 3 A. Lama defeated Nepali Congress (NC) candidate Prof. Dr. Suryakant Ghimire with a margin of 2,857 votes.

CHITWAN, Nov 24: Gir Bahadur (Gyanujang) Tamang of Rastriya Prajatantra Party has been elected as provincial assembly member from Chitwan 3 A. Lama defeated Nepali Congress (NC) candidate Prof. Dr. Suryakant Ghimire with a margin of 2,857 votes.

According to the counting of votes that ended at 3:30AM on Thursday, Tamang was elected as a member of the provincial assembly with 17,813 votes.


His closest rival is Prof. Dr. Ghimire of NC within the Democratic Left Alliance, got 14,956 votes and Krishna Bhurtel of CPN-UML, the outgoing provincial MP of Bagmati province, got 11,623 votes.
