RPP withdraws support to Karnali govt

KARNALI, March 2: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has withdrawn its support to the Karnali provincial government headed by Chief Minister Raj Kumar Sharma.

KARNALI, March 2: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has withdrawn its support to the Karnali provincial government headed by Chief Minister Raj Kumar Sharma.


RPP Province Assembly member Santoshi Shahi handed a written letter to Province Chief Tilak Pariyar today and informed him that the party had withdrawn its support to the provincial government.

She said the party had pulled out of the Karnali provincial government as per the directive from the RPP’s central leadership. The RPP had withdrawn its support to the federal government as well before this.


"The party’s central leadership has decided that it would not be appropriate for the RPP to be in power in the changed political context. In line with this decision, the RPP will withdraw its support to the provincial governments across the country," Shahi said.


The RPP has only one seat in the 40-member Karnali Province Assembly.
