POKHARA, December 23: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) chairman Rabi Lamichhane faced an unusual incident when he was struck with a corn cob in Pokhara.
The incident occurred during a program organized by RSP at Pokhara's Amarsingh Chowk, where Chairman Lamichhane was hit while delivering a speech. The assailant, identified as Santosh Ranabhat from Syangja, is reported to be the car driver.

The police promptly arrested the individual responsible for throwing the corn cob, and he is currently being held at the District Police Office Kaski. During the initial stages of the investigation, Police Inspector Binod Shrestha reported that Ranabhat claimed not to have thrown the corn cob at Lamichhane.
The motive behind the attack remains unclear, and Lamichhane himself confirmed that he was indeed assaulted. Addressing the incident during the program, Lamichhane expressed his belief that those resorting to such acts might change their perspective if he continues to perform good deeds. He stated, "I will respond to those who have greeted me with stones and make them positive through my work."
