RSP postpones press conference

KATHMANDU, Feb 6: The press conference scheduled to be held today by the three outgoing ministers of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has been postponed. The three ministers who resigned on Sunday were scheduled to hold a press conference today. Dor Prasad Aryal, the party’s vice-chairman and former minister of labor and employment, said that it was postponed because he was busy with the regular work of the party.

He said that he will inform later when the press conference will be held. In today's conference, it was said that the RSP ministers would give information about the progress made.


The joint meeting of the central committee and the parliamentary party of RSP decided to withdraw from the government yesterday. It is said that the support will continue even if the party has left the government. After that, Labor Minister Dol Prasad Aryal, Education Minister Shishir Khanal and Minister of State for Health and Population, Dr Toshima Karki submitted their resignations to the Prime Minister yesterday.
