RSP's decision to vote for Mamata Jha in vice presidential election

KATHMANDU, March 17: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is going to vote for Janamat Party candidate Mamta Jha in the vice-presidential election.

KATHMANDU, March 17: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is going to vote for Janamat Party candidate Mamta Jha in the vice-presidential election.


Voting to elect the new vice president is underway at Parliament House, New Baneshwar . RSP MPs decided to vote for Jha after an informal discussion.

“One side of the power coalition and the candidate chosen by UML smack of selfishness. As we both are new parties, we and the Janmat Party have come to the conclusion that we will vote for Jha as she is also a female candidate," said an RSP lawmaker.


Along with Jha, Ramsahay Prasad Yadav of Janata Samajwadi Party and Astalaxmi Shakya of UML are also the candidates for vice president.
