Ruling alliance will win local polls: Dahal

CHITWAN, May 5: CPN (Maoist Center) chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said the electoral alliance forged among the ruling parties in view of the upcoming local elections slated for May 13 would secure a win.

CHITWAN, May 5: CPN (Maoist Center) chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said the electoral alliance forged among the ruling parties in view of the upcoming local elections slated for May 13 would secure a win. 


Talking to media persons at the Bharatpur Airport today, the former prime minister said any eligible citizen was free to file independent candidacy in the election and the  results relied on the people’s choice.

Maoist Center central member and Dahal’s daughter Renu Dahal is a candidate for the post of mayor of Bharatpur Metropolis on behalf of the alliance which is organizing an election rally in the metropolis today. Renu will be competing for the post for a second-term. 


Prime Minister and ruling Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba and senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel have already arrived in the town to address the election rally.
