MALE, Aug 6: SAARC Secretary General Golam Sarwar met with the president of Maldives, Dr Mohamed Muizzu, on Tuesday. During their meeting at the President’s Office, President Muizzu highlighted the importance of collaboration among SAARC member states and reaffirmed the Maldives' commitment to the SAARC process.
Ambassador Sarwar expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality extended to him and his delegation and praised the Maldives for its continued support to SAARC since the association's establishment in 1985. He emphasized the need for further efforts to fully realize SAARC's potential. Sarwar is on an introductory visit to the Maldives from August 4-8.
