Sabitra continues red-hot form; TAC wins 8-0

KATHMANDU, July 28: Sabitra Bhandari continued her red-hot form as the striker bagged four more goals to inspire her departmental team Armed Police Force (APF) to second win in as many matches in the ongoing Vice-president Women’s National League Football on Friday at ANFA Complex. APF sent past seven goals against Rautahat District Football Association.

KATHMANDU, July 28: Sabitra Bhandari continued her red-hot form as the striker bagged four more goals to inspire her departmental team Armed Police Force (APF) to second win in as many matches in the ongoing Vice-president Women’s National League Football on Friday at ANFA Complex. APF sent past seven goals against Rautahat District Football Association.


Sabitra has taken her tally of goals to nine in the two matches when she scored at the 30th, 54th, 55th and 90+ minutes of the one-sided match. Saru Limbu and Anita Basnet were the other goal-scorers for APF in the match. Limbu netted the opening goal at the 6th minute and completed her brace at the 40th minute whereas Basnet added her goal in the 79th minute.

Likewise, in the other match of the day, the other departmental team Tribhuwan Army Club (TAC) thrashed Kathmandu District Football Association by a thumping 8-0 scoreline. Army’s Bimala Bishwakarma started the rout at the 24th minute, continued by Krishna Khatri’s brace at the 34th and 43rd minutes. Similarly, Dipa Rai completed her hat-trick in the 44th, 53rd and 56th minutes. Two more goal-scorers, Indira Rai (45+ minute) and Kabita Dhimal (83rd minute), registered their names for Army in the match.
