Sagar Pun's 56 crucial in Nepal's win

KATHMANDU, July 15: Nepali national cricket team, which is in England, recorded 20 runs win over Indian Gymkhana Cricket Club in a 20-over match played at the latter's ground in London on Thursday.



Nepal, being invited to bat first, scored 162 runs losing seven wickets in 20 overs after Sagar Pun scored 56 runs off 48 balls. Sagar hit a six and four boundaries.



Similarly, Gyanendra Malla contributed 38 runs facing 20 balls that included five fours, while Raju Rijal remained not out on 24 runs off 11 balls hitting a six and three boundaries.



Puneet Mehra and Aditya Archiya bagged three wickets each for Gymkhana, which was bowled out for 142 runs in allotted 20 overs despite Puneet contributing 47 runs off 28 balls hitting three sixes and three fours.



Bikram Sob, Karan KC, Shakti Gauchan and Sagar bagged two wickets each and Paras Khadka claimed a wicket in Nepal's win.
