KATHMANDU, Feb 12: Samikchya Banskota has been elected as Chairperson of Bibeksheel Sajha Party.
The first General Convention of the party held in Kathmandu elected her as new head of the party. Similarly, Prakash Chandra Pariyar, Milan Pandey and Bimala Adhikari have been appointed as Vice Chairpersons of the party.

According to the party, the General Convention has picked Ranju Darshana as the party’s General Secretary. Pandey and Darshana returned to the active role in the party following a long hiatus. They were not active in the party after the party saw internal differences.
Pabitra Thapa, Samudra KC and Bimala KC have been elected as the party’s secretaries, while Damodar Nepal has received the responsibility of the party’s treasurer. Although all office bearers were elected unanimously, the party is preparing to hold an election to pick its central members, as a number of people have staked claim for the post, according to Vice Chairperson Pariyar.
