SANN College vandalized, three arrested

KATHMANDU, Sept 2: Police have arrested three persons including Purbanchal University Chapter Chairman of All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU), Sanjeev Devkota on the charge of vandalizing SANN International College, Gairidhara.

KATHMANDU, Sept 2: Police have arrested three persons including Purbanchal University Chapter Chairman of All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU), Sanjeev Devkota on the charge of vandalizing SANN International College, Gairidhara.



Metropolitan Police Circle, Durbar Marg also arrested student leaders Shishir Bhandari and Bhim Acharya for the vandalism. 



DSP Krishna Bahadur Palli told Republica Online that they will face a legal action for the act.  

The student wing of UML vandalized the college for collecting entrance exam forms ingoing their demand.  ANNFSU has been protesting the varsity’s decision to implement an integrated system for entrance tests.



According to the college Vice-chairman Roshanraj Baral, a gang of some 20 persons resorted to vandalism.



“We had never imagined that a student union will resort to vandalism in a college. We have lodged a complaint with a police for a legal action,” he said.
