The young combatants involved in the armed struggle led by the then CPN (Maoist) party were deemed 'disqualified' and released from the cantonments while integrating with the Nepal Army.

Lenin Bista and other ‘disqualified’ combatants had filed a case in the court expressing their reservation that the decision of the party did not contribute to their proper management.
