SC to conduct hearing today on petitions filed against constitutional appointments made by Oli govt

KATHMANDU, July 27: The Supreme Court (SC) is conducting a hearing today on the writ petitions filed against the appointment of 52 constitutional office-bearers during the erstwhile KP Sharma Oli government.

KATHMANDU, July 27: The Supreme Court (SC) is conducting a hearing today on the writ petitions filed against the appointment of 52 constitutional office-bearers during the erstwhile KP Sharma Oli government.


The apex court has scheduled the hearing on the disputed cases of constitutional council ordinance, and appointments to constitutional bodies without parliamentary hearing for Wednesday (today). The court will conduct a hearing on four writ petitions and five supplementary applications related to them.

On Wednesday, Acting Chief Justice Deepak Kumar Karki along with justices Hari Krishna Karki, Bishwambhar Prasad Shrestha, Ishwar Prasad Khatiwada and a constitutional bench comprising Dr Anand Mohan Bhattarai will hear the case.
