The Indian Embassy issued an statement on Friday, saying that the second group of 20 Nepali farmers and agriculture experts are currently undergoing a month-long training at the National Center of Organic Farming (NCOF) Ghaziabad, India. The training started on February 1 and will end on March 2. The first group of 20 Nepali participants had successfully completed their training at NCOF, Ghaziabad from November 15 to December 14, 2018.
The embassy claimed that the main objectives for the training are to promote certified organic farming for improvement of soil health; share impact of organic farming on produce quality, productivity, soil health and environment and to ensure supply of organic input through establishment of bio-fertilizer and bio-pesticides production unit; capacity building in soil testing and organic certification through Human Resource Development (HRD) of Nepali experts and farmers.
