Second shot of Moderna to be administered to children of Tanahun from today

DAMAULI, Jan 31: Children of Tanahun are to be inoculated with the second dose of Moderna vaccine against COVID-19. The second shot is to be administered to the children aged 12-17 who have earlier jabbed with the first dose.

DAMAULI, Jan 31: Children of Tanahun are to be inoculated with the second dose of Moderna vaccine against COVID-19. The second shot is to be administered to the children aged 12-17 who have earlier jabbed with the first dose. 


The first jab of Moderna was given to the children of this age group in the district on last December 23-28.

Byas Municipality is running a vaccination campaign at the schools from January 31 to February 3, informed municipality’s Health Section Chief Pramod Soti. The children who have not yet received a single dose will also be vaccinated in this campaign, he added. Vaccination campaigns will take place at schools in all 14 wards. 


Shuklagandaki Municipality is administering vaccines to the children on January 31 and February 1 through its health facilities. Children will be jabbed with Moderna dose in all 12 wards of the municipality, informed Health Section Chief Ajaya Srivastava. 


A total of 32,437 children of 10 local levels in the district have been provided with the first dose of vaccine.
