Secretary Raut transferred after a dispute with Communications Minister

KATHMANDU, Jan 10: Secretary at the Information and Communication Technology Krishna Bahadur Raut has been transferred within 10 months.

Raut has been transferred to the Finance Commission after a dispute with Minister for Communications and Information Technology Minister Rekha Sharma. Ram Krishna Subedi has been brought in as his replacement.

Raut served as Chief Secretary of Madhesh Province before his transfer to the Ministry of Communication in Chaitra 2079 BS.

According to sources, he was transferred within 10 months after the minister and secretary did not agree on the construction process of the new building of Nepal Telecom. 

Sources claimed that Secretary Raut had to be transferred due to a dispute between the minister and the secretary on a contract worth more than Rs 4.6 billion.
