Seven missing Mahottari girls rescued from Sitamarhi of India

KATHMANDU, March 31: Seven young girls who had gone missing after leaving their homes for the collection of green fodder have been rescued from Sitamarhi of India.

KATHMANDU, March 31: Seven young girls who had gone missing after leaving their homes for the collection of green fodder have been rescued from Sitamarhi of India.


The girls, aged between 10 to 18 years, from Dharmapur, Bhangaha Municipality-8 in Mahottari district, were contactless since Tuesday.

Acting on the information that the girls were spotted at the Sitamarhi Railway Station of India, a team of Nepal Police reached there and rescued the girls, according to Superintendent of Police, Dinesh Acharya of the District Police Office, Mahottari.


The rescued girls have been identified as Asmita Paswan, 18, Jyoti Paswan, 13, Archana Paswan, 12, Ranjana Paswan, and Riya Paswan, 15, Nagina Paswan, 18 and Sima Paswan, 10.
