KATHMANDU, Nov 14: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Prem Bahadur Ale said that the shuttle buses will be brought into operation at both domestic and international terminals at the Tribhuvan International Airport.

Speaking at the 36th senate meeting of the Nepal Academy held on Sunday, Minister Ale said the decision was made as taxis were charging exorbitant fares from their customers. He announced that he would soon launch the shuttle bus service in domestic and international airports to ferry air passengers to and from the TIA’s main entrance.

Minister Ale said that he has directed the authorities concerned to build a resting house in the airport for migrant workers returning to the country. He also claimed that he has held discussions with the Indian counterparts to make the Lima-626 air route a two-way route in order to connect Nepal with India, Middle-East, and the Western countries.

On the occasion, Minister Ale also said that he has requested his Indian counterpart to allow two planes of Nepal Airlines to make flights to India.
