KATHMANDU, Dec 12: Social campaigner Iih has declared to stage a 108-minute protest in front of the Lalitpur Metropolitan City (LMC) office. The protest is said to be against the LMC’s decision to remove sidewalk shops.
Earlier, social campaigner Iih conducted a 199-hour protest in front of the National Assembly, against the removal of street vendors from the sidewalk by the Kathmandu Metropolitan City. During that protest, an agreement was reached between Kathmandu Metropolitan City and Iih on four points, including the management of sidewalk shops.

Following the recent decision by LMC to remove sidewalk traders without providing an alternative, Iih is initiating another protest. He has announced that the protest will commence at 3PM on Tuesday in front of the LMC office.
Campaigner Iih has also called on street vendors, as well as other interested individuals or groups, to join and support him in this demonstration.
