Nayanthara rejected 'Chennai Express'
Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara are all set to romance in Atlee’s next, but did you know the popular South actress had previously turned down SRK’s ‘Chennai Express’? While the film starred Deepika Padukone in the lead, director Rohit Shetty had offered the hit song ‘One Two Three Four’ to Nayanthara who had declined the same. The makers then roped in Priyamani, who floored the audience with her swift dance moves.
Rashmika Mandanna rejected 'Jersey'
Rashmika Mandanna is all set to debut in Bollywood with ‘Mission Majnu’, but before that, the actress was offered ‘Jersey’ opposite Shahid Kapoor. Revealing the reason for rejecting the offers, Rashmika had told IANS, “I got that opportunity because of the choices I have made till now. I don't think this choice is going to go bad. 'Jersey' needs a lot of you. It is almost realistic. Right now, only doing commercial films, I am going insane. Imagine doing something like 'Jersey' and not being able to pull it off. If I am part of a film, it has to be because I need to give in to the film. I will not accept any project to which I feel I can't give a lot to. The 'Jersey' remake was huge. Anyone would do it but then I don't want to come to set and be all tired. I feel they (the film's makers) deserve more. Someone who can give in energy.”
Vijay Deverakonda rejected 'Dear Comrade'
Before ‘Liger’, Karan Johar had offered Vijay Deverakonda the Hindi remake of ‘Dear Comrade’. According to Mumbai Mirror, Karan Johar had bought the rights of ‘Dear Comrade’ for about Rs 6 crore. Vijay turned down the remake of his own blockbuster film, stating that he doesn’t see any point in telling the same story twice. Vijay had stated that he can’t redo the entire set of emotions and that the remake was not a very exciting thought for him.
