Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota leaves for Azerbaijan

KATHMANDU, June 28: A parliamentary delegation led by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Agni Prasad Sapkota, is to attend the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network’s conference that is to be held in Baku, Azerbaijan from June 30 - July 2, 2022.

KATHMANDU, June 28: A parliamentary delegation led by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Agni Prasad Sapkota, is to attend the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network’s conference that is to be held in Baku, Azerbaijan from June 30 - July 2, 2022.


The delegation left for the conference at 11:15 AM on Tuesday. The delegation includes member of the House of Representatives Pushpa Bhusal, member of the National Assembly Ram Chandra Rai and the Speaker’s Personal Secretary Govinda Pathak.

In the program, Speaker Sapkota will represent Nepal and address the need for the Non-Aligned Movement.


The conference is scheduled to approve the statute on working modalities of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network and issue the Baku Declaration. During the conference, the Speaker is scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with high-level officials of different countries.


The delegation is scheduled to return to Nepal on Sunday evening.
