KATHMANDU, June 5 : The sentence 'The Prime Minister had to return home from an India visit riding on a buffalo' has been deleted from the record of the House of Representatives (HoR). This follows the directive made by Speaker Devraj Ghimire to the HoR secretariat.
In the meeting of the HoR on Monday, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal apprised the parliament of his recent four-day official visit to India.

In his attempt to be informed additionally about the PM's India visit, Shishir Khanal of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) remarked that Prime Minister Dahal had to return home from India visit by riding on a buffalo. This immediately courted objection from the ruling party lawmakers.
Speaker Ghimire then instructed the parliament secretariat to remove the statements from the official record, prompting RSP lawmakers to demand the Speaker to directly remove the same remarks made by Prime Minister Dahal himself in course of responding to the party's concern over the visit. Then the Speaker ordered for removal the remarks from the HoR archives such statements whoever expressed it before the House.
