ROLPA, August 23: The Nepal Banda (general strike) announced by various parties including the Netra Bikram Chand-led CPN has affected normal life in Rolpa on Tuesday. All the markets including the headquarters Liwang market, Sulichaur, Ghartigaon, Holeri etc of the district are closed.
First day of banda cripples life in core tarai districts
Educational institutions have not opened since morning. Vehicles running outside and inside the district have not been able to run. Chand’s activists have been present in the squares since morning to enforce the strike.
Cadres of the Chand-led CPN also took out a protest to make the strike successful in the headquarters Liwang. Locals complain that the closure has affected their lives.
