KATHMANDU, July 1: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a lawsuit against a police person on the charge of possessing fake academic certificates.
Academic certificates submitted by Sub Inspector of Police Basanta Kumar Mandal for joining the Nepal Police and promotion were found fake, the CIAA said.
The charge sheet against Mandal was filed at the Special Court Friday, demanding maximum punishment as per the law, the CIAA said in a statement.
Presently, Mandal is posted at the police headquarters, Naxal, Kathmandu. RSS
