KAILALI, Nov 18: The Sudurpaschim provincial government has been spending more than four million rupees on salaries, residents, communication, water, and electricity supply to ministers and provincial assembly members, excluding the amount provided to them for fuel.
The provincial government is spending a total of Rs 4.2 million every month on salaries and allowances. In total, the provincial government is spending more than Rs 50 million on salaries and allowance in a year.
Each provincial assembly member gets a total of Rs 77,000 for salary, residence, water, electricity, and communication every month. For 39 Provincial Assembly members, the provincial government is spending Rs 36.3 million annually for their salary and other perks and benefits.

Likewise, the chief minister gets Rs 60,970 in salary, Rs 2,000 as communication allowance, and Rs 10,000 to welcome guests monthly. In total, the chief minister is receiving a total of Rs 72,960 as salary and benefits every month. Annually, the chief minister receives a total of Rs 875,640.
Likewise, the provincial government also provides allowances for fuel, water, electricity, among others to the chief minister.
Each minister of the Sudurpaschim Provincial government is receiving Rs 54,000 per mont as salary. Each minister receives a total of Rs 90,000 per month including salary and allowances, besides getting 250 liters of fuel from the government every month. There are six ministers in the province.
The province is spending a total of Rs 6.4 million annually on the salaries and other benefits of the ministers, excluding the amount provided by the government for fuel.
The province has only one state minister, who gets Rs 51,000 as salary. Including the salary and benefits, each state minister receives a total of Rs 81,000 monthly. The government has allocated a total of Rs 972,000 for salaries and other perks and benefits of the state ministers.
Likewise, the speaker of the Sudurpaschim Provincial Assembly gets Rs 55,000 per month as salary. The speaker also gets an additional Rs 35,000 as allowance. The speaker also gets 125 liters of fuel from the government and receives a total of Rs 1.8 million from the government annually.
Likewise, the deputy speaker gets Rs 51,000 per month as salary. Including allowances, the deputy speaker receives Rs 81,000 per month. The deputy speaker receives a total of Rs 972,000 as salary and allowances every year.
