KATHMANDU, June 30: In R. Rajbanshi’s directorial debut, actor Sunil Thapa is all set to be seen in ‘Sher Bahadur’ as the lead role.
Thapa will share the screen space with other actors like Karma, Menuka Pradhan and Rabindra Jha.

According to Rajbanshi, the film will be shot in a Dharane setting and will revolve around the ups and downs of a young couple in love. The movie would be shot completely in a set.
The film went on the floor from Tuesday itself after a ritual was performed here. Hari Bansha Acharya, who was present in the function, said the film had a unique name and was positive that the audience would love it.
In the film, Thapa’s will be portraying a character of a retired army officer. “I was offered the role while I was in Mumbai, four months back. I came to Kathmandu to read the script and, I instantly loved it and agreed to do the film,” Thapa informed.
Thapa, who is still popular for his character ‘Rate Kaila’ in ‘Chino’, also played the role of actress Priyanka Chopra’s coach in Bollywood biopic ‘Mary Kom’ (2014).
The film is being produced under the banner of Dhiraj Productions with Gauri Shankhar Dhuju and Dhiraj Rajbanshi’s investment.
