Sunmaya Budha breaks course record and finishes 2nd Overall in UTMB World Championships CCC 100 km

KATHMANDU, Sept 8: Nepali athlete Sunmaya Budha finished 2nd Overall on the world’s biggest stage in the CCC 100 km event at the UTMB in Chamonix, France. She broke the course record by more than an hour along with the winner, Blandine L'Hirondel of France who is also the reigning IAU Trail Running World  Champion.

KATHMANDU, Sept 8: Nepali athlete Sunmaya Budha finished 2nd Overall on the world’s biggest stage in the CCC 100 km event at the UTMB in Chamonix, France. She broke the course record by more than an hour along with the winner, Blandine L'Hirondel of France who is also the reigning IAU Trail Running World  Champion.  


Ultra Tour Mont Blanc is held in France every year, which is like the Wimbledon of the trail running world. About 10,000 participants from more than 100 countries participate in the race after having acquired enough points racing in different parts of the world, which means the race is  among the best athletes in the world.
