KATHMANDU, Jan 16: Former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of National Reconstruction Authority (NRA), Sushil Gyewali has moved Supreme Court (SC) on Monday challenging the government’s decision to sack him.
Gyewali, in his writ, has demanded with the apex court to stay his sacking, arguing that he was removed from the post illegally and ill-intentionally.
A meeting of Council of Ministers on Wednesday had sacked Gyewali from the post and had appointed former vice-chairman of the National Planning Commission Govinda Raj Pokharel as replacement.
Sacked NRA CEO moves court
The Government of Nepal, The Office of Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Cabinet, Prime Minister and Pokharel have been named defendants in the writ demanding annulment of the decision through a certiorari order.
