Suspended CJ Rana’s statement recording begins for the third day

KATHMANDU, Sept 4: The meeting of the Impeachment Recommendation Committee of the federal parliament has begun the third day of testimony of the suspended Chief Justice Cholendra SJB Rana. The meeting of the committee is being held in the hall of the parliamentary committee at Singhadurbar.

KATHMANDU, Sept 4: The meeting of the Impeachment Recommendation Committee of the federal parliament has begun the third day of testimony of the suspended Chief Justice Cholendra SJB Rana. The meeting of the committee is being held in the hall of the parliamentary committee at Singhadurbar.


The committee started registering his statement from last Wednesday. As mansy as 43 questions are fixed for the statement. In the statement taken on Wednesday, Rana was asked five questions, while on the second day on Thursday, only two questions were asked.

Today, the statement will start from the seventh question. Suspended Chief Justice Rana has stated that he is not guilty and has been working according to the constitution and the law.


Although the conclusion of the impeachment against Rana, who has been under suspension for more than six months, should come within three months, the discussion in the committee started late. The committee's meeting held on August 24 decided to call him for a statement.
