Tara Air plane crash: Bodies handed over to families of deceased

KATHMANDU, June 2: The bodies of those who lost their lives in the Tara Air plane crash were handed over to their families on Thursday from the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj.

Autopsy was performed on the 22 bodies before handing them over to their families. On Sunday morning, a Tara Air twin-engine aircraft with the call sign 9N-AET flying for Jomsom crashed on Sanosware in Thasang Rural Municipality-2 Kobang of Mustang.


Thirteen Nepalis, three crew members, four Indians and two Germans were killed in the accident. The bodies of those killed in the accident were brought to Kathmandu in two phases on Monday and Tuesday by a Nepal Army MI (17) helicopter.
