Task force formed to study possibility of private sector involvement in fuel supply

KATHMANDU, June 4: Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Dilendra Prasad Badu has stated that a task force has been formed to study the involvement of private sector in the supply of petroleum products and LPGs.

KATHMANDU, June 4: Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Dilendra Prasad Badu has stated that a task force has been formed to study the involvement of private sector in the supply of petroleum products and LPGs. 


A discussion was held on Friday on the urgent proposal to reduce the price of cooking gas, petrol, diesel, kerosene and other petroleum products in the country and its impact on the general public in parliament.

Minister Badu said that a cabinet meeting held on May 24 decided to form a high-level task force to consider various policy arrangements to make the supply of petroleum products systematic, transparent and effective by restructuring the Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC).
