RAMECHHAP, Dec 19: Man Bahadur Sarki, a teacher of Nawadarshan Secondary School in Likhutamakoshi Rural Municipality-7, has been arrested on charges of sexual abuse.
Hom Bahadur Parajuli, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Ramechhap, said that Sarki was arrested on the charge of sexually abusing a student studying in Grade 9 of the same school.
Teacher held for sexual abuse
DSP Parajuli said that after the victim student applied for action claiming she had been sexually abused by the teacher Sarki, the accused was taken into custody and an investigation was started.
According to the police, the accused called her to a house outside the school in the afternoon on December 13 and sexually assaulted her on the pretext of giving her the question paper prepared for the exam.
