BARA, April 3: The written examination for the temporary police that was supposed to be held in Bara under the temporary police recruitment process opened for the upcoming local-level elections was delayed by over eight hours on Saturday.
Although the exam was scheduled to start at 8AM on Saturday, it started at 4PM, due to which, examinees had no other option but to attend their exam on empty stomach.

Assistant Chief District Officer of Bara, Shivaraj Sedhai, who is also the coordinator of the temporary police recruitment selection committee, said that there was a problem in starting the examination after it was learned that some outsiders had also applied for the temporary police jobs.
According to Sedhai, out of the initial 13,000 applications, 6,000 have passed in the first phase. Out of these 6,000 candidates, only 2,800 will be selected, he said. The temporary selection committee includes Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rajesh Thapal of District Police Office, Bara, and representatives of Nepal Army and Armed Police Force.
