KATHMANDU, May 6: The Lord of the Drinks (LOD) night club in Thamel, has once again made its mark among the world's best clubs. UK-based DJ Mag, (DJ Magazine) known for its dedication to electronic dance music and DJs, has listed LOD at the 50th spot in its ranking of the top 100 clubs worldwide.
Previously, the club had secured the 49th and 52nd positions. DJ Mag annually curates a list of the premier clubs across various countries and publishes the top 100 clubs globally.

Club owner Rudil Ballabh Shrestha shared that after being ranked 52nd in 2022, LOD has now climbed to the 50th position this year.
LOD has become a hotspot for both local and international tourists seeking vibrant nightlife experiences. Shrestha said that since the government's decision to allow 24-hour operation in Thamel starting from April 15, there has been a surge in the number of visitors in the club.
