KATHMANDU, June 8: Kumarmani Thapaliya has been elected as the president of Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA).
Thapaliya defeated his closest rival Pramod Dahal to be elected as the new President of NATTA, an umbrella organization of tour and travel operators in the country.

Prior to this, Thapaliya has served as treasurer and general secretary of NATTA. He has been involved in tour, travel and trekking business for the past one and a half decades.
Likewise, Jiswa Tuladhar was elected as Senior Vice President and Ghanashyam Ghimire as Vice President unopposed in the 57th Annual General Meeting of the Association. Yuvika Bhandari won the post of General Secretary, Bishnu Pandey was elected as secretary, Suresh Amgai as treasurer and Dhaknath Kafle as co-treasurer elected unopposed, according to Election Officer Arun Paudyal.
The member of the newly-elected executive committee include Shraddha Joshi, Ramshobit Raya, Krishna Prasad Dhakal, Bidur Prasad Khatiwada, Sudarshan Paudyal, Krishna Prasad Dhakal, Bijay Rizal and Rama Kumari Pyakurel.
